Once upon a time The beginning So, you really want to know about me. I was born on February 14th, 1980 in Bangkok, Thailand. Yep, that was a Valentine's day =) Not just that though, I was told that the day was also a Chinese new year's day, which they determine from the position of the moon (you know, the big rock flying around in the sky), so it won't be the same every year......kind of confusing......but that somehow it gives me an excuse to celebrate my birthday twice a year (hey, I don't mind that).
The word from 3rd eye Some people say that since I was born on Valentine's day, I would more likely have lots of girlfriends, and since the day was also Chinese new year's day, I would also have lots of food to eat all year. Well........ I don't yet have a girlfriend, plus I am very skinny....... so I don't really know what went wrong with that.
The land Anyway, Thailand is a country in South East Asia. The picture above is a picture of the Grand Royal Palace in Bangkok. There are also buildings that have similar designs all over the country. Those buildings are temples, which are the holy places for us Buddhists. Yep, Buddhism is the main religion in Thailand. At this point, some of you might wonder, "What is the main purpose of being a Buddhist?." Then I would give my best answer, that is, "To learn to be good."
Family I did not grow up alone. I had one sister (who is a year younger) and 7 cousins. Our homes were next to each other, and because of that, we have become one big happy family :-) |
